Uplistsikhe – the ancient cave city, one of the first cities in Georgia is located 12 kilometers from Gori. Town was founded in the late II - at the beginning of I millennium BC - is one of the most important archaeological sites of the country. The uniqueness of the monument is that it has kept the remains of architectural and religious structures built over several millenniums. Uplistsikhe (translated as "Fortress of God") was a pagan cult center for many centuries and in the heyday of numbered about 700 caves, of which only 150 survived. Among them: ancient pharmacy, wine cellar, temples and residential rooms. Transfer to Gori.

Gori is one of the oldest cities in Georgia, the first historical mention of it belong to the VI century. This city became world famous as a birth-city of Joseph Stalin (Dzhughashvili). Visit to Joseph Stalin’s Museum in Gori. On the territory of the museum is the house where J. Stalin spent his childhood. Among the exhibits are Stalin’s personal things, pieces of furniture from his offices, as well as one of the 12 copies of his posthumous masks. There are many paintings, illustrations, documents and newspaper articles belonged to Stalin. It is interesting to visit the private railway car of Joseph Stalin, which he used to travel to Tehran and Yalta conference.
